Hello, Mom has had it with Comcast cable and is having a “dish” of some sort attached to the house this weekend. That means her email is probably going to change. I wonder if it’s a dog dish?
The problem is, the neighborhood was established before this house was built. Therefore, we are not on the “hub” for cable. They kind of threw us on as a rider. We pay high speed internet money, but our internet is sooooo sloooow. And if the weather changes, the cable goes out. Here in Illinois, that’s a lot of weather changes!
The people at the cable company are always saying, “You need a new router,” or, “Your modem is at its end of life sequence.” Finally, one day, a representative told Mom the truth that no matter how many times we reset the modem we are never going to have fast internet. So Mom and Dad talked about it a lot, and decided that if we are doomed for slow internet, why pay so much money? If we’re getting slow service then that is what we should pay for. They did the calculations and figure the dish will save them about $125 per month. That’s a BIG savings, and the computer is always going on some glitch because of the weather anyway.
I’ll keep you posted as to how this goes. (At least Dad is not doing the rewiring. Ha ha ha, I didn’t say that!)
The Spot, by the way, is still OK. Mom is going to repaint the Spot this weekend. So I guess our plumbing trick worked!
Woof! Love, Maggie
