5/18/16 Four years

Mom’s been feeling blue with all the rain and changes going on around here, so I’ve been busy caring for her.Today the sun is out and she is smiling.

I wanted to let everyone know I had my four year anniversary of being adopted this month. Mom bought me a large package of “dreambone” sticks. They are a rawhide alternative that is safe to eat. She got me the peanut butter ones, which I love!

The shelter is very far away in my mind now. I love my family. Woof!

Love, Maggie

    Congratulations on your anniversary!
Hope your mom feels better, soon. Yesterday, our area got 6″ of rain + there was a small tornado spotted. It’s been overcast, today, so I envy your sun.

Do you think she suffers with SADS? I’ve heard some who do are helped by either tanning lamps or St. John’s Wart.

(sighs) she’s doing Vitamin D (severely deficient), and sun lamps. We’ve had a couple of nice days but not 2 or 3 in a row. I think she does have SAD. Woof!

I’ve known several humans who suffer with that. Most get despondent, but I knew one that got so depressed that he became confined to his bed for weeks at a time.So glad to know your mom is taking vitamins and getting out when it’s nice.

Hi Maggie – Just ask your Mom to check the ingredients because so many peanut butter products now have xzylotol (spelling?) added, and that is bad news for us dogs. Woof! Ray

Aw! And you’ve come so far since I first started reading Maggie0019 blog, Maggie! I’m proud of you and can only say one thing in recognition of this wonderful milestone in your life: “Woof!!!” (I am honored to have your signed photo hanging on my wall, next to Andy and Dougy’s kitten pictures!)

Happy anniversary…congratulations! Your mom is probably very happy to have you around when those grey skies loom – and you have a wonderful home and family!

Ollie says congrats on being safe and loved for four years now. He knows that he has been luckier than you, to be in a familiar home from birth. But you will have a happy life to look forward to forever now, and his tail is wagging at the thought of that. (( ))
