11/2/16 Mom Flunked Her Blood Test

As most of you know, I have been watching over Mom quite diligently, as she hasn’t been well lately.

Mom’s doctor ordered blood tests and had her screened for Lupus, MS, and other assorted nasties. All the panels came back negative except for the on for RA (rheumatoid arthritis). That one came back positive. RA is an autoimmune disease that can strike either sex at any time.

So, since Mom flunked that blood test, she had to go today for another. This is to make sure the first test wasn’t a false positive. Mom says she is pretty sure it’s not a false positive since she is so achy and miserable, but she went anyway.

We should have some news by Friday. Mom said to tell you all thank you for the good wishes.

Woof! Love, Maggie

I hope this is all resolved quickly and that you’re back to your old self soon. Hate stuff like this and just want you pain free and happy. Many hugs and good girl Maggie. You stay put until it’s over. Woof. ❤

Auto-immune diseases are a pain to diagnose. I have one myself (Wegener’s granulomatosis, a form of vasculitis), and many of its symptoms emulate those you have for whatever it is. Anyway, I hope they figure it out for you, Liz, and you can get on with medications and therapies specific to the disease. (Give Maggie a hearty “Woof!” for the kitty boys and me! Dougy suggests “scritching” Maggie under the chin, too, or on the chest. He loves that himself!)

I’ve been petting Maggie so much she is hiding from me. LOL. I am prepared to hear the worst so I think that is going to be half the battle. We shall see what the dr. has to say when he calls. Scritchies back at those handsome boys from me and Maggie sends a tail wag and Woof! 😀

Acceptance is the hard part, for sure. The new normal may not be where you want to be, but it is where you are. I found that realization helped me avoid the self-defeating problem of self pity when I had my major health crises. For example, I’m on dialysis. But…that means I am in more frequent contact with health care professionals, so i won’t be as likely to avoid seeing them about health issues (the “guy thing”!). Of course, because I asked my healthcare providers at dialysis about aberrations in my finger nails, I ended up getting set up for a colonoscopy and whatever they stick a thing down your throat for on Election Day. Oops! Also, a sense of humor is a big help. Anyway, till you find out, Liz, hugs from us all!

As luck would have it I have just the treatment for you. Radon Health Mines.

Bathed in the healthful ionizing radiation of Radon gas your RA symptoms will be a thing of the past. This really works and is used by dozens/hundreds/thousands of people a year.

OK while many folks swear that this really does work for them … the reason it works is that the massive radiation dose suppresses the immune system shutting down the RA response. This of course leaves you open to all kinds of other infections not to mention increased risk of cancer, genetic mutation, and other complications.

Just be sure you don’t take any ants in with you …
