3/14/17 Whiteout conditions

Ah, you will remember my poem about Spring. And how Winter had the last word! Winter has reared its ugly head today in the form of whiteout conditions where I live.

This is a shot of the front of the house, 9:00 a.m.

And a view from the back, same time:

I feel bad because the little green slips of tulip leaves and the first-of-the-year yellow and purple flowers were just being brave enough to come out of the ground. Now I think everything is going to be dead, dead, dead.

I hope everyone is safe and warm. The snow is past my elbows, so going out in the yard is terrible. I hope the snow melts soon and Spring comes in for real. Although we haven’t had a lot of snow this year, I am sick of Winter and of getting my paws and belly wet and frozen.

Woof! Love, Maggie
